Free Crochet 3D Flower Pouch Bag Pattern for Spring

Learn how to crochet a 3D bell flower drawstring pouch with this free and complete written pattern for spring. There are also stopper balls at the end of the strings, so it is a permanent pouch. You can hold small items like candies or money inside. Basically, it features two bell flowers that bloom along with a stem and leaves attached to it. You can choose pink or cream.

For the string, hot pink or green. The drawstring pouch is basic and works up faster with the use of half double crochet. I will share both UK and US patterns here.

Assembly (Summary)

Thread the Drawstrings

  1. Locate Rnd 12 (second row from the top) of the bag.
  2. Using a yarn needle, weave the first ch 80 drawstring through the dc posts, going over 2 dc and under 2 dc around the bag. Start and finish on the left side.
  3. Thread the second ch 80 drawstring the same way, starting and ending on the right side.
  4. Adjust both strings so the ends are even and the bag closes smoothly.

Attach Stopper Balls

  1. Insert the two ends of each drawstring through the magic ring center of a stopper ball (after Rnd 4).
  2. Tie a secure knot and pull it inside the ball to hide it.
  3. Stuff the ball with fiberfill, complete Rnd 5 (6 dec), then sew the hole closed.
  4. Repeat for the other side.

Add Decorations

  1. Arrange the stems and leaves on the front of the bag and sew them in place.
  2. Attach one bell flower to the tip of each stem.
  3. Weave in all yarn ends for a clean finish.
