Crochet Baby Reindeer Mushroom Tutorial

Beginner – Intermediate. The basic hat and the mushroom body pattern are worked in rounds as a single piece from the reindeer hat to the body. You will need the single crochet (base stitch), chain stitch, slip stitch, increase, and decrease. For the body of the mushroom, BLO is needed for the first row, bobble stitch for the arms, and a decreasing pattern is used, too. Slip stitch for joining and chain as turning chain are as usual.

You will also crochet the antlers by crocheting in back-and-forth rows, which also need chain skipping. Crochet ears as circles, fold them, and sew them in the end.

Tutorial Timing: 32 minutes only (a great project to crochet your first baby mushroom amigurumi, which is one of the most versatile amigurumi patterns you can learn. With this, you can crochet even the Santa amigurumi, Halloween mushroom, animal mushroom, and many more things.

You will also learn the usual hat of the mushroom that our previously shared idea lacked, which can also be adapted for tons of themes, like one used to crochet a carrot mushroom!)

Personalization Tips: Crochet a small oval as a muzzle for your reindeer mushroom here, and crochet a tiny mouth using embroidery. You can also add a simple mouth to your baby mushroom, and also crochet a plush version using bulky yarn. Crochet a small chain length and a small yellow ball with a bit of embroidery, and sew it with your baby mushroom as a belt. Always sew a tiny string for using it as a bag charm or keyring for using as keyring.

Pattern Type: An on-screen written pattern is available if you find written instructions easy to follow along with. The pattern is written in US terms.
