About the Designer: The designer behind these Christmas rings is @BigBearCraft – whether differing in the embroidery mouth, color-combo, or entire theme, in her small tutorial library, she always presents sets of mini amigurumi and bag charms taught in one guide cleverly. She is a creative designer who produces irresistible customizations in each of her designs. For example, check her 7-in-1 mini Sanrio octopuses, 4 strawberry donuts, and 6-in-1 heart Christmas ornaments. I love her Christmas series that includes a polar bear, Reindeer, baubles, donut ornaments, and more exciting patterns.
Note: In respect of the creator’s rights, there will be no provision of the written pattern. You can watch the tutorial with on-screen written instructions at the end of this post.
Crochet Assortment Rings Tutorial
Skill Level: Intermediate. The base ring pattern is the same as the no-sew donut pattern, starting with 20 chains for a hole whose ends are joined using a slip stitch. You will work around this ring using slip stitch, increase, chain, and slip stitch pattern for the first half, while for the second, BLO in for the first and then decreasing pattern. The penguin donut and Santa ring also need color changes. For small parts like Santa hats, reindeer horns, bows, ears, and slouchy hats, you will need slip knots, half-double crochet, and seamless sewing.
Tutorial timing: Approximately 37 minutes (worth watching as you will learn crocheting the donut pattern, droopy Santa hat, scarf pattern, and more that can be adapted for large sizes also. Plus, improve working with the small parts and sewing to make it seamless. Moreover, it will improve your personalization and amigurumi designing skills.)
Personalization tips: For the reindeer, you will add a red button nose and a red crochet collar with a yellow bell. The bear can be customized with a hat with a red base and green, as well as a striped red and green scarf. For the wreath, you will embroider white cross-stitches to resemble snowflakes and attach a red bow tie. Finally, the penguin can be personalized with a red hat and a red bow tie. You can also crochet these Christmas ornaments in a large size by using plush yarn!
Pattern Type: An on-screen written pattern is available if you find written instructions easy to follow along with. The instructions are written using US terms.
