Crochet Mini Halloween Witch Hat Tutorial
Skill Level: Beginner – Intermediate. With the foundation chain beginning, first crochet the twisted tip of the witch hat using a combination of chain stitch, single crochet, and single crochet cluster for the curve. Then, by inserting the hook, leaving a few previous stitches, make a tiny round. Then you will continue working the cone pattern using slip stitch and single crochet increase. Changing the color of the black strip and again to purple, or selecting one for the brim. Brim gets ruffled using the FLO and increase plus double crochet, too.
Tutorial Timing: 25 minutes only. (perfect for getting your hands on a small crochet project which will need precision and symmetry, and learning a unique no-sew technique as mentioned above – the flat to round work conversion technique. Also great for learning the ruffle brim pattern without a large time commitment, since it is useful in the crochet boo ghost project and the bucket hats.)
Personalization Tips: As mentioned, you can choose from light purple and orange colors, but like the previous miniature witch hat, you can also use black, sea green, or grey and brown. You can also add an optional charm for extra decoration, attaching it to the front of the hat. Finally, you can add a keyring to the top of the hat to use it as a keychain or backpack charm.
Pattern Type: An on-screen written pattern is available if you find written instructions easy to follow along with. Finished size is 3 inches.
