About the designer: the designer behind this witch amigurumi project is @Lalacrochet – she designs and presents mostly easy and plush versions of crochet animals, objects, and food that always end up so cute. Some of my favorites of her crochet plushies are the crochet hermit crab, football with eyes, earth with eyes, Peppermint Pal, and volcano. She has a good expertise in color choice and design. So, you can also check her guides on amigurumi basics. She offers free crochet tutorials and patterns, with some PDF versions available for purchase. She also shares videos with relatable crochet humor and tips.

Note: In respect of the creator’s pattern rights, there will be no provision of the written pattern. You can watch the tutorial with on-screen instructions at the end of this post.

Crochet Plush Spider Tutorial

Skill Level: Beginner. The pattern starts from the amigurumi spider head to the belly as a one piece, and while crocheting the belly, the requirement is to sew the legs. Each set of spider legs is also crocheted together for easy joining. Fangs will also be crocheted as you go using a puffy stitch. As for stitches, you will need the single crochet, increase (also for twisted legs), decrease, chains, slip stitch, and invisible decrease. Foundation chains for the legs!

Tutorial Timing: 26 Minutes Only (worth the time as you will learn clever no-sew techniques that even bypass the surface stitching. You will also learn how to attach the legs to the amigurumi before finishing it for ease, plus how to properly hide the yarn ends. Moreover, this spider project is easy and the cutest!)

Personalization Tips: You can always use black for crocheting this plush spider, like a crochet bat, or try purple and even orange. You can also use the multicolor yarn, fuzzy, and even ombre. If you don’t have, don’t hesitate to use a bit of small or simple safety eyes. You can also change the size of the spider amigurumi by using the thin yarn. Like usual, the tutor omitted the smile, but you can add it. Also, add the witch hat accessory, bow, and even embroider a spiderweb.

Pattern Type: A detailed on-screen written pattern is available if you find written instructions easy to follow along with.
