Gather the following suggested tools and materials for crocheting these Christmas snowflake keychains, mentioned in the tutorial:
Milk cotton yarn – many colors suggested (white used for the snowflake). Use either red or green.
2.5 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle – for weaving in ends and assembling pieces
Stitch marker – to keep track of rounds or stitches
Keychain hardware – to attach the finished snowflake as a keychain
Quick Summary & Skill Level: Beginner. You will crochet this snowflake using basic amigurumi techniques, starting with a Magic Ring. The initial rounds of the round base use normal increases and single crochet.
The final, snowflake points are crocheted by using taller stitches, including the Half Double Crochet, the Double Crochet, and the Treble/Triple Crochet, which are worked into the base.
The rounds are joined using the Chain Stitch (Bính) for starting a new round and the Slip Stitch (Mũi trượt) for closing the round. You will in the end learn embroidery.
