Crochet PUMPKIN BEAR Tutorial

This amigurumi is a large bear head with a pumpkin balaclava and fearful button eyes. The tutor has very well designed it to give a quirky look. You can complete crocheting it in an hour.

Skill Level: Beginner – Intermediate. To crochet this pumpkin bear amigurumi use magic ring (MR) to start the head, ears, nose, and stalk; single crochet (sc) as the primary stitch for all parts; increasing (inc) to add stitches and shape the head, ears, and nose; and decreasing (dec) to reduce stitches and close off the head and stalk. The tutorial also shows how to stuff the head with filling and use a needle for sewing and embroidery to attach pieces and add facial details. You will crochet the pumpkin hat or balaclava separately.

Tutorial Timing: 17 Minutes Only (perfect for learning how to form a perfectly fitting shape that wraps around another amigurumi. You will also practice the embroidery stitching, and sewing.)

Personalization Tips: You can also use the black safety eyes instead of the buttons, and the plastic bear nose instead of the yarn nose on the muzzle.

Pattern Type: On-screen written instructions are available if you love written instructions, thanks to their ease of following.

  • Cotton yarn is smooth, durable, and holds shape well.

  • Perfect for projects needing good stitch definition (like toys, keychains, and small pouches).

  • It also doesn’t stretch too much, so your project will stay firm.
