How to Crochet Santa Christmas Tree Ornament & Bauble
Santa’s belly has an undeniably one of the easiest pattern and can be used in any Christmas project. In this post, I have a tutorial for crocheting this fun pattern as a Christmas tree ornament ball with the option to either stuff using fiberfill or a Christmas bauble. Like the store-bought bauble, it has a band of gold glitter yarn, which is my favorite part of this ornament.
You will be able to finish it as a single piece within 30 minutes. The tutorial from Mels is quite stitch-by-stitch. The whole belly pattern just needs a single black stripe, while you will sew the belt part separately, which I think is better than crocheting it separately. It gives a nice 3D feel to it naturally.
So, if you have made up your mind to crochet this Christmas ornament, continue reading this post till the end. There you will find the complete tutorial. It will be the best gift ever!

About Crochet Santa Christmas Tree Ornament
Quick Summary & Skill Level: Beginner. The crochet Santa belly ball base is simply crocheted sphere using single crochet, increase, decrease, chain, and slip stitch. Stripe work using color changes is needed for the mid black section, the Santa belt pattern (red to black and back to red).
It also uses color changes to add a final, small crocheted piece in the top and gold glitter yarn for the belt buckle which needs embroidery using a sewing needle.
