Assembly Details
- Trunk Attachment: Position the trunk centrally between the eyes on the head. Ensure the curve faces downward. Sew the open end of the trunk to the head, spanning across R11 to R12.
- Facial Details: Use black yarn to embroider eyebrows. Count 2 rows up from the eyes. Sew a slanted line (approximately 1 stitch wide) to create a gentle expression.
- Ear Placement: Locate the sides of the head. Pin ears symmetrically on R7–R8. Sew the flat edge of the ear to the head.
- Body and Head: Align the neck of the body with the bottom opening of the head. Using the long tail from the body, whipstitch the 18 stitches of the body to the 18 stitches of the head.
-
Limbs:
- Arms: Position the two arms on the upper part of the body, just below the neck seam. Flatten the tops and sew them horizontally.
- Legs: Position the remaining two limbs on the lower front of the body. If you want the elephant to sit, sew them pointing forward; for a standing look, sew them pointing downward.
- Bib: Wrap the bib around the neck. Use the chain strap to tie it at the back of the neck or use a needle to secure the strap ends into the body.
- Final Touches: Hide all remaining yarn tails by weaving them into the body and cutting the excess.
