Tutorial to Crochet A Puffy Patrick Star Coaster

Skill Level: Intermediate (Level 1)

This project is a fun and squishy Patrick Star (from SpongeBob) coaster that doubles as a cute little tray to hold small items. To make it, you first crochet a large, flat, circular base for the coaster’s main body.

Then, you crochet separate pieces for his cone-shaped head, two small arms, two chubby legs, flat oval pieces for his eyes, and two small green rectangular strips for his pants (complete with purple embroidered flower patterns).

Finally, you sew the head, arms, and legs onto the large circular base, attach the green pants to his lower body, glue the eyes in place, and stitch his classic silly face with black yarn!

Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate. The stitches used are very basic, but the project requires a lot of assembling, sewing small parts correctly in place, and simple embroidery (for the pants and facial features), which takes some patience.
