Tutorial to Crochet A Puffy Star Coaster

Skill Level: Beginner (Level 4)

In this project, you will crochet a sweet star that functions as a coaster or a keychain. First, you crochet a flat, six-round star shape in a continuous pattern to make two identical star panels. Next, you seam the two halves together by slip stitching around the outer edges.

Just before completely closing it up, you lightly stuff the star points with filling (while keeping the center relatively flat). Finally, you add a round of surface slip stitches between the inner rounds for definition and can optionally decorate it with a bow, a wooden button, or a custom label.

Skill level: Beginner. The pattern involves a simple, continuous round sequence with no complex joining techniques, and requires just a few basic crochet stitches without any complicated sewing.
