How to Crochet Snake with a Bow Plushie
This fun and friendly plush snake is incredibly quick to make and is a fantastic addition to any amigurumi collection! With its vibrant colour, distinct curled body shaping, and cute little bow. It works as a shelf decoration, a desk buddy. It requires very little sewing.
Materials Needed
Plush Yarn (Chunky/Bulky): Main colour (Green, Yellow, Blue, etc.) for the snake.
Plush Yarn (Chunky/Bulky): Contrasting colour (e.g., Red) for the bow.
Crochet Hook: 4.0 mm.
Safety Eyes: 12 mm.
Stuffing: Fiberfill / Hollowfiber.
Tools: Stitch markers, scissors, long needle for closing and hiding yarn tails, and optionally a lighter to flatten the back of the safety eye posts if they are too long.

Sl st into the next stitch. Fasten off and leave a long tail. Weave the tail through the front loops of the remaining stitches, pull tight to close the hole perfectly, and hide the yarn end inside the tail.
Bow Pattern
Step 1: Ch 4.
Step 2: In the 1st chain made, work 2 treble crochets (US double crochets).
Step 3: Ch 3, sl st into the same 1st chain. (This completes the first half of the bow).
Step 4: Ch 3, work 2 treble crochets (US double crochets) into the same center stitch.
Step 5: Ch 3, sl st into the center stitch.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail. Wrap the long tail securely around the center of the bow several times to pinch it together. Tie a tight knot at the back. Thread the tails onto a needle and tie/sew the bow securely to the top of the snake’s head, hiding all ends inside the snake’s stuffing.
