01 of 05 Crochet No-Sew Pufferfish Big Water Plushie
The No-Sew Pufferfish is a round, squishy plushie covered in “spikes” that you create as you go so you don’t have to sew them on later. This beginner-friendly design uses chunky yarn to make a large, huggable sea creature in very little time.
General Making:
To make the pufferfish, you start with a magic ring and crochet in a spiral, swapping between a dark color for the top and a light color for the belly. You use “bobble” stitches to create the spikes and simple loops to form the fins and tail as you go.

02 of 05 Crochet Swimming Seal Plushie Amigurumi Pattern
The Swimming Seal Plushie from the tutorial is a “no-sew” project designed to be very fast, specifically because you crochet the fins and tail directly as part of the body. Since it’s made with chunky blanket or velvet yarn and a 6mm hook, it turns out very soft and squishy.
General Making:
To make it, you start at the head with a magic ring and crochet down the body in a spiral. For the flippers, you just chain out from the sides and work stitches back into the body as you go. The tail is made by splitting your last few stitches into two groups and crocheting each side into a small fin. Finally, you can make a “duck” floatie by crocheting a basic tube, joining it into a ring, and adding a tiny yellow head with a beak. Stuffed and closed up, the seal is ready to “swim” right away.

03 of 05 Crochet No-Sew Axolotl Plushie
The No-Sew Axolotl Keychain is a super small and quick project that results in a round, squishy face with long, floppy gills. It is designed to be made in two flat pieces that are joined together, making it perfect for beginners who want a cute result without complex shaping.
General Making:
To make it, you crochet two flat circles and join them together with a row of single crochets, stuffing it with polyfill before you close the gap. Before joining, you attach safety eyes and stitch on pink cheeks and a black zigzag mouth. To finish, you add the gills by making three “chain 10” loops on each side of the head and attach a keychain loop to the top.
04 of 05 Crochet Dolphin No-Sew Water Plushie
If you’re over the hassle of sewing tiny limbs onto your projects, this No-Sew Dolphin is a lifesaver. Its standout feature is that every fin is crocheted directly into the body as you go, so it comes off the hook fully assembled and ready to squish.
General Making:
To make it, you join two small tail pieces to start the body, then use “bobble” stitches and side chains to pop out the fins while you work. After adding safety eyes, you simply decrease the stitches to taper the face into a snout. Stuff it, cinch the nose shut with a needle, and your dolphin is finished.

05 of 05 Crochet Axolotl Snuggle Plushie
This tiny axolotl is a “no-sew” hybrid between a plushie and a floppy snuggler, designed to be palm-sized and super squishy. Since the limbs are worked directly into the body as one piece, there is zero assembly or tedious sewing required at the end.
General Making:
The making starts with a magic circle for the head, working in rounds of single crochet before narrowing at the neck. The arms and legs are created using bobble stitches while crocheting the body rounds, so they pop out naturally. After stuffing the head firmly and the body lightly, the side gills and tail are surface-crocheted directly onto the finished shape, and the face is added with a few simple embroidery stitches.

06 of 05 Crochet Rubber Duck Plushie
This chunky rubber duck is a soft, chenille plushie designed for maximum squish. It uses fluffy yellow yarn to recreate the classic bath toy look in a velvety, huggable form. With its bright orange beak and oversized eyes, it’s a quick, cheerful project that’s perfect for gifts or a cute desk companion.
General Making:
The duck is made by crocheting the head and body as separate spheres using a magic ring and basic single crochet rounds. After adding safety eyes and stuffing, the two pieces are sewn together. The wings are worked as flat, unstuffed shapes and attached to the sides, while the beak is made from a small chain worked on both sides to create an oval.
