Materials
- Milk Cotton yarn (about 125g) in 2–3 colors
Example: White, Pink, Yellow - 3.5 mm crochet hook
- Scissors

- ch = Chain
- sc = Single Crochet
- sl st = Slip Stitch

Step by step Pattern
1. Cat Paw Base (Make 2)
Both paw pieces are the same, but:
- Piece 1: make a short ch-8 loop for closure
- Piece 2: make a long ch-30 loop for fastening
Round 1
In a MR, ch 3.
Work 8 Puff stitches into the ring, separated by ch 1.
Join with sl st.
Round 2
Change color.
In each ch-1 space, work 2 Puff stitches.
(16 Puff stitches total.)
Join with sl st.
Round 3 — Toe Pads
Change color.
Find the 4 “V” groups.
In the center space of each group, work 3 Puff stitches to form toe pads.
Slip stitch between each pad.
Round 4 — Edging
- Work 3 sc in each bottom space between puffs.
- Before the first toe pad, work 1 sc.
- Around each toe pad, work 6 sc total.
- Between pads, work 1 L-sc into the row below.
Loops
- Piece 1: ch 8 and sl st to form a loop
- Piece 2: ch 30 and sl st to form a loop
Round 5
Work sc in BLO around the entire piece to create a wall edge.
Join and fasten off.
2. Joining the Pieces
Place both paw pieces with wrong sides together.
Join the bottom and sides using slip stitches.
Leave the top opening between the middle toe pads open for the mesh section.
3. Mesh Body
Round 1
Join yarn at the opening.
Work sc evenly around the inside edge.
(About 54 sc total.)
Round 2
Ch 10, skip 5 stitches, sl st in the 6th stitch.
Repeat around.
To move up to the next round:

Round 3 and Up

Final Mesh Round
To tighten the opening:

- sl st into each loop center
4. Strap
Ch 1.
Work 1 Puff stitch into the base stitch, ch 1 to close, then ch 1.
Repeat Puff stitches into the top of the previous Puff stitch to create a decorative chain strap.
Sew the strap end to the opposite side of the mesh opening.
