Tutorial to Crochet the Amigurumi Pumpkin for Kids

This tutorial teaches you how to crochet a bobble pumpkin. You start by making an orange rectangle. You alternate rows of single crochet and rows of double crochet bobbles. You must work only in the back loops. After making 22 rows, you sew the ends together. You gather the bottom, add stuffing, and gather the top.

Next, you make a green stem and a leaf. The leaf uses single, half double, double, and treble crochet stitches. Finally, you sew the stem and leaf to the top. This makes a cute, textured pumpkin decoration for autumn.

Difficulty Level

Intermediate

This project is intermediate because it uses the bobble stitch and requires working specifically in the back loops of stitches. Shaping the leaf involves using several different stitch heights, and the assembly requires careful sewing and gathering to get the right shape.
