Tutorial to Crochet Solid Pumpkin Granny Square

Learn how to crochet a cute, autumn-themed pumpkin granny square. You start by crocheting the round orange pumpkin base over three rounds, using a mix of standard stitches along with some increases and decreases to shape it.

Once the pumpkin shape is done, you switch to white yarn and crochet a border into the back loops only, using taller stitches at the corners to turn the round shape into a square. Finally, you attach brown yarn to the top front loops to create a small double-crochet stem, finishing up by weaving in all your loose ends.

Skill Level: Intermediate. The round three gets a bit complex and tricky. You need to be comfortable keeping a strict stitch count, working increases and decreases and work in different loops of he stitch.
